Fake Christmas trees

Last year was the first time in my life that my parents didn't get a real Christmas tree. My mom decided that if she was going to go fake she was going all the way, so she got the silver model. In keeping with the total abandonment of any semblance of reality, this company makes trees without that bothersome conical shape that Mother Nature gave the originals with no regard for the confines of an indoor setting. The silver tree won me over but I really can't decide if I think these represent a reasonable accommodation to small spaces or an abomination.
